Filipina Ladies

**Filipina ladies!** Filipina ladies are most definitely the most beautiful, sweet and charming women in the world. What makes them so special? I remember when I was doing a lot of networking for Down Under Visa in the early years. I was quite involved with the Makati Business Club, and attended plenty of functions with well-dressed Australian men looking for business contacts over wine and canapés and "elevator pitches". I remember these men of a good age, who initially assumed I too was there for business opportunities. I would set them straight, and explain why I was there. And the look of envy on their collective faces was palpable. Even when they couldn't comment because a wife was often nearby, the look on their faces said it all! Secretly, they were wishing they'd made the same move that I made years earlier. But now too late for them. ## Filipina smiles and feminine charm **Filipina smiles!** Yes, Filipinas smile! You come to the Philippines and you hear a lot of references to how friendly and how happy Filipinos in general are. And overall, yes they are! Yes, of course they are capable of bitterness and nastiness too. They're human beings, after all. But by and large, Filipinas are ladies who were brought up with a friendly and positive demeanour. **Femininity!** Whilst Australian ladies may sometimes be in some sort of struggle against the old sexism-habits of their fathers and grandfathers to be strong and independent and to be taken seriously, the average Filipina has no such struggle. The Philippines has had its share of women in power. Nor do most Filipino men expect their women to live lives of servitude. The Filipina may be little in many cases, but she is rarely someone who could be walked-all-over. **Hardworking!** And Filipina ladies are hardworking. This is something many men from western countries like Australia find hard to accept, because they've rarely seen women like this before. Hardworking, yet still feminine and sweet.
